Samus, an AI-assisted product development platform operated by Edaphic Corporation ("Edaphic," "we," "us," or "our"), is available at app.samus.ai (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials. Account creation is available via email-based one-time password (OTP) or password authentication.

Phone Number

If you choose to enable SMS notifications, we collect your phone number. Your phone number is stored in your profile preferences and used solely for delivering build notifications you have opted in to receive.

Project & Conversation Data

We collect the content you provide through conversations with Samus, including messages, project descriptions, uploaded documents, user flows, statements of work, and any files you share. This data is necessary to provide our AI-assisted product development services.

Usage & Analytics Data

We automatically collect technical information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and interaction patterns to improve the Service. We also track token usage for AI model interactions.

Integration Credentials

If you connect third-party services (e.g., GitHub, Railway) through Samus, we store the necessary credentials to facilitate those integrations on your behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Deliver AI-assisted product development and build orchestration features
  • Send you notifications about your build progress via your preferred channels (email and/or SMS)
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Communicate with you about service updates, security alerts, and support
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve and optimize the Service
  • Protect against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity

3. SMS & Mobile Information

If you opt in to receive SMS notifications, the following applies:

  • We send build progress notifications such as phase updates, completion alerts, and error notices to the phone number you provide.
  • Message frequency varies depending on your build activity and notification level preference (major events only, or all events). Typically, messages range from a few per week to several per day during active builds.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
  • You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message we send, or by disabling SMS notifications in your account settings.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform, including Supabase (database and authentication), Twilio (SMS delivery), Resend (email delivery), OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google (AI model providers), Pinecone (document search), GitHub (code repository integrations), and Railway (deployment infrastructure). These providers access data only as needed to perform services on our behalf.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
  • Business Transfers: If Samus is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and row-level security policies on our database. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
